Head of Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

Organize and Manage the Accounting Department

·       Design, structure, assign tasks, and oversee the operations of the accounting function to ensure efficiency, professionalism, and full compliance with securities industry regulations

·       Develop the accounting system, including books, documents, chart of accounts, and accounting procedures tailored to the specific requirements of a securities company

·       Conduct training, coaching, and periodic performance evaluations for accounting staff

Manage and Supervise Accounting Operations

·       Manage and supervise the recording and accounting of all arising transactions, including brokerage, proprietary trading, depository services, financial investments, expenses, revenue, assets, liabilities, etc.

·       Ensure all accounting transactions are recorded fully, accurately, promptly, and in compliance with accounting standards and SSC regulations

·       Review and approve accounting documents, payment requests, advances, and procurement proposals within authorized limits

·       Verify, reconcile, close books, and ensure the accuracy of all accounting record

Manage Financial Statements, Taxes, and Legal Compliance

·       Prepare, review, and take responsibility for periodic financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annually) and sector-specific reports submitted to the SSC, Stock Exchanges, and tax authorities

·       Organize tax declarations, payments, and finalizations (CIT, PIT, VAT, FCT, license fee, etc.) on time

·       Prepare for and coordinate with independent auditors, tax inspectors, and regulatory bodies when required

·       Ensure proper storage and compliance of accounting records, documents, and financial data

Manage Cash Flow and Budgeting

·       Manage and coordinate cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for securities operations and the company’s overall activities

·       Develop the annual financial and budgeting plan, and forecast short-term and long-term cash flow

·       Collaborate with relevant departments to control costs, balance capital sources, and optimize profitability

Candidate Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, or Finance. 

·       Possession of a Chief Accountant Certificate; candidates with Vietnamese practicing certificates in accounting/auditing or international certifications such as ACCA or CPA are preferred

·       At least 05 years of experience as a Chief Accountant or in an equivalent role. Experience in Financial Institutions, Banks, or Securities Companies is a strong advantage

·       Hands-on experience working with inspection teams, auditors, and tax finalization authorities

·       In-depth understanding of accounting standards, tax regulations, financial management, especially regulations issued by the State Securities Commission (SSC)

·       Proficient in accounting software; experience with the SUN accounting system is preferred

·       Strong system-thinking mindset, analytical capabilities, and problem-solving skills

·       Excellent management, organizational, communication, and team-leadership skills 

·       Detail-oriented, honest, highly responsible, and able to work under high pressure
